He built the grand $50 million Shelby Chemistry Hall at UA with federal dollars. He built the modern $54 million Shelby Engineering Center at Auburn…

Bring back the old Dick Shelby who understood that Alabama needs and wants federal dollars to help us move forward and who would vote for such things. And if it will help, we’ll put his name on anything he wants.

The Cullman Timesreports that Sen. Richard Shelby was asked at a town meeting about the rumor of Obama’s citizenship. Here’s what he said.

Well his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven’t seen any birth certificate. You have to be born in America to be president.

According to the Associated Press, state officials in Hawaii checked health department records during the campaign and determined there was no doubt Obama was born in Hawaii.
