A new space for independent workers to come together and collaborate and create is opening in May on 2nd Ave. N. next to What’s On 2nd. This is how the space is described on their site:

…a coworking community for independent designers, developers, programmers, writers, and other entrepreneurs in Birmingham looking for a cool place to work around creative, like-minded people.

Downstairs will present a shared, open-space with scattered workstations and lounge areas for people to work, collaborate, and innovate. ’Memberships’ will be by the day, the week, or the month. No leases, no commitments, no problem. Just come by and work in a cool space!

Upstairs will be: 1.) A space for full-time, resident members who want a permanent office space/desk etc.; 2.) Space for Shift Learning-For corporate meetings and workshops, public classes, seminars, and classes.
